[Q] anyone running orbot successfully on bruces jb?

I've never been able to run anything proxyd except the orbot browser and I very much dislike it.
Mozillas mobile plug in doesn't work either. Even if someone had a working alternative.
Has anybody got some type of proxy (preferably orbot) working on bruces jb?
