Ok, so I have some corrupted files on my internal sd that won't let my phone boot normally and I was wondering if there's any way too completely wipe internal sd without being able to boot far enough for usb to be detected? Another words my phone freezes as soon as it tries to prepare internal sd. Also I can get into download and recovery just fine and I've already OC Jf6 back to stock. there was no lagfix involved so not sure what became corrupted. I know CWR is still on internal sd because I can still access it via 2e recovery reinstall pkgs. Any help greatly appreciated.

Master Reset Instructions

Following are master reset instructions DM'd to me from USA Galaxy S Twitter support. Copy paste instructions.

This’ll result in the loss of all info not saved on SIM or external SD card. Back up files to PC if you don’t have an external SD.

Sync Contacts & Calendar w Gmail. Make a list of Market apps, as they'll only show up in the list of Downloads the 1st time you log in

Power off phone and remove SIM and microSD (if applicable). Power phone back on. Tap Phone. Dial *2767*3855#

Phone will power off and back on. When fully powered back on, turn off and re-insert card(s). Any questions, let me know!

Can't you just boot into recovery mode and select format internal SD?

Sent from my Captivate
Yeah! I tried that already. It was a no go however it did remove everything from internal sd but still freezes at boot as soon as it says preparing internal sd in notification bar. Guess I borked it somehow unless someone smarter than me knows a way to get it back. Thanks

You might just have to reflash and get it over with *shrugs*

did you try odin oneclick back to stock?

My suggestion would be to do a oneclick back to stock. It only requires you to be in DL mode not booted up. It will clear your phone, but Im not sure how different that clear is versus the "master clear" option. Either way youll be able to use your fone again if you do the odin oneclick back to stock.

The master clear in odin is the same as formatting your internal sd card. When you flash, everything gets deleted and overwritten except for the internal sd card. However, I don't suspect that his problem is stemming from a corrupt file, but something screwy with the OS. Reflashing will most likely solve his problem. Bite the bullet and do it!

Well people, I've done everything I can think of which consist of everything mentioned in this thread and I'm guessing something went badly wrong when I OC Jf6 back to stock the other day. When I can get it to boot all the way up it starts force closing tw launcher, phone, android, ect. and vibrating and the screen going on and off trying to restart processes so not sure what else to do short of refurbed warranty phone which I despise the idea of because I bought a new phone. But anyway thanks for all the help and if ya think of anything else I'll still have it a few more days.
