hi, i have used md4 v10, 12 and 13 and noticed some differences in the way some apk's install. For e.g. i customize apk's a lot based on my needs. For e.g. any regular app i am able to customize, install it and open it and it opens up the modified app. Normally when you install app, you get 2 options "Done" and "Open". 'Open" launches the app.
For some apps like "IncallUI.apk", the "Open" button is grayed out. The way v10 behaves is different from v12 and 13 and am trying to understand what is the difference between these 3 ROM's. I have seen this v10 sort of behavior in many other ROM's as well.
So, when i modify/customize 'incallui.apk', then install it as a normal app, it installs just fine on all 3 versions however when i make a call to check the new interface, no changes are seen in v10 but the changes reflect in v12 and v13. The only way I can then test is to replace the app, reboot and then try making a call. It works this way but it is not a easy process specially when there is a solution already in place for v12 and v13.
Would you know why the modified and successfully installed app does not show/reflect the new changes in v10 and many other ROMS?
