If I switch over from rooted GB stock to one of the custom ICS (ex. remics or aokp, etc.), will I need to do an app backup (Tb for example) to be able to restore them? I'm assuming yes as each time I flashed a custom rom in the past I have to do this.

However, I have had issues restoring with Tb. It works but then it causes random force closes after restoring (app only - no data). Any other suggestions of how to do app backups and restores on roms?

Thanks!

I also had a problem with fc's when first switching to ics. I allowed the apps to restore from my Gmail sync though. I'm not sure if this was just me but I'd say using TiBu to restore apps only would b the best option if u don't want to have to redownload
your apps.
