[Q] are all custom roms pre-roted

I have read in this forum about Rooting ICS Stock roms. There is more than enough material / info in this forum to cater the needs of all most all users. I would like to know whether all and various ICS custom roms available are pre-rooted. If not how to root them. Thanks.

Yes, all comes pre-rooted.

Urn, sorry but that's not correct. I don't know any custom ics roms that are pre rooted. You need to apply root to gb, and then upgrade to custom ics 99% of the time.

That depends on how you define pre-rooted. For most users point of view, pre-rooted means it comes already rooted, which in ICS custom ROM is always true. Otherwise how can you make custom without root?

They are not pre rooted at all. You have to have an existing root to install a custom rom. The root is carried from the stock rom to the custom rom.
