I max out around 2Mbps down:(

I am on a grandfathered BB data plan, but I have a brand new 4g sim. I've always been able to get HSPA, even with my old 3g sim.

I called in to AT&T and said whats up? They pulled up my imei (matches), but says it's a 2g device. WTH? I'm connected to HSDPA:9 all day errday.

This phone is rare enough here that I haven't found a current, useful thread about this issue.

When I had an iPhone on T-Mobile it wasn't able to get ANYTHING over 2G, meaning 3G. I had a 3GS though so I don't know about the HSPD... All I know is ATT's 3G band is diff from T-Mobiles and so you CANNOT get 3G using one carrier's phone on another network when it comes to these two. I'm not too sure about HSPD but.. It might be the same? You said you've been getting HSPD though so... Not sure.

The Sensation has HSPA+
Does it? Or doesn't it? Cause I'm saying mine doesn't when I assumed that it does.

Internet searches aren't going to help me, I'm afraid. There's too much conflicting opinion. There's already conflicting opinion in here lol.

But if there's somebody else out there, who has a z710a on ATT we can put this to bed right quick.

It's a beefed up 3g network and they will not spend the money to get true 4g

That's is true but if you want the truth then take a look at at&t and the one x in order for it to run on at&t network they had to dail it back because of the tegra3 doesn't run on AT&T network so they say

I am using the Bell Sensation on AT&T in Northern California. I average between 3 and 4 mb/s down, depending on what part of town I am in and the time of day it is. Phone signal shows me connected to H+

I'm running an ICS ROM that has been discontinued. HyperNonSense by Kristof, very minimalist but one of the smoothest ROMs I have ever used on any device. Patiently waiting for CM9 stable.

I'm not 100% positive, but I want to say that I was seeing an H+ icon on Gingerbread ROMs as well.

The symbol is really irrelelvant. If you want to know if you are connected to H+, go to settings > about phone > status and see what it says under Mobile Network Type.

If you are connected to H+ it should read HSDPA.
