Hi cyandro,I think installing one of the full firmware package also deletes your cache, so the apps will need to be compiled to native code or something similar again, which is then stored in the cache. Not completely sure how this is working but you should only get it once or twice after the update.
The Android version hasn't changed with the update, it is still 5.0 and if the download description is still saying something wrong then the typo was just not fixed yet.![]()
Ok, I see...may be I got confused by reading announcements for Lollipop 5.1 (beta?) for our beloved board ?!?!
Ok, next experiment.
I have an OTG cable and I have an USB-Ethernet adapater.
My Linux PC recognized this Adapter as:
06:00.0 Ethernet controller: Marvell Technology Group Ltd. Yukon Optima 88E8059 [PCIe Gigabit Ethernet Controller with AVB] (rev 11)
Bus 002 Device 006: ID 9710:7830 MosChip Semiconductor MCS7830 10/100 Mbps Ethernet adapter
I tried the same adapther with my ASUS Memo Pad 7 and an application from the Play Store called "Ethernet", which was said to
be able to recognize a supported chipset or not if not (sorry ...tuxic-English)...
From the logical pont of view there are three reasons for the failure:
Android does not came with the correct drivers.
The Ethernet application is wrong.
I am doing something wrong.
Is this chipset known to work with the ME176CX?
Is there a better app to test this?
What did I wrong?
And is there any _GOOD_ application which _really_ and proofen suppresses autostarts?
Thank you very much in advance for any help!
Best regards,
tuxic
