Hello everyone. From November until about 6 weeks ago I had the latest SHOStock ROM and AJK Kernel installed on my phone. It was kind of buggy the entire time, but at some point it just froze entirely and refused to come back on. I had something pretty big going on in my life about this time and didn't touch the phone for about 6 weeks. Last time I messed with it until a few hours ago was February 15th.
I was able to get the phone into download mode easily enough and flashed the latest 4.1.2 official stock JB ROM onto it. This made the phone more responsive when I pressed the power button, but it seems to be stuck at the charging screen. When I try to power on the phone, it just restarts and goes right back to the charging screen. It won't go past it to the home screen and I have no idea why.
I'm assuming it's not the ROM, but could it be the kernel? I'm honestly not sure if it still has the AJK kernel, as I seem to not have CWM installed to flash a new kernel.
Not really sure what to do next, any advice or tips in the right direction would be awesome! I've spent a couple of hours now searching around, but it's getting harder and harder to find relevant information for the GS2 these days. I'll be jumping on the S5 bandwagon in June, but gotta make this one last until then. Thank you so much, much obliged!
