Hi,
I am having Motorola Atrix 4g from AT&T with 2.3.6/4.5.141 installed. Yesterday I tried to hack multi-touch as mentioned in below thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1134057
Instead of updating the ROM using CWM, I had modified two files with the help of ES File Explorer that I had installed in my mobile. I just did the below one.
As a result, My touchpad stopped after rebooting and left me with no choice. I do not have a backup of my old ROM so I went for a factory reset using Android Recovery. After that also I was unable to get the touch working.
Later, I tried to install latest software update that I got from Motorola official site. But left with no luck.
ADB is also not working for me because my phone is in initial stage now which wasn't even logged-in with motoblur account. When I tried with ADB, it is showing Error: Device not found.
Now I am with no backup and remained with a touchpad which is not working.
I am having few doubts as I am new to Android..
1) Where can I found original touchpad libraries that comes from Motorola Atrix 4g at initial stage and installing them will solve my problem?
2) Is there anyway to edit android system files from recovery or fastboot or RSD mode?
3) Is there any Android system file explorer for PC with which I can explore system files and save them after editing?
4) Which version of new ROM can I install to get my touch pad working?
5) Can the downgrade to 2.3.4 from 2.3.6/4/5/141 solve this issue? First of all, can I donwgrade?
6) Can I get others CWM ROM backup, so I can install that to get my phone work?
Please help me out in fixing my issue.
Thank you all in advance for your support.

you can also modify the code in the file by youself
File: /system/etc/touchpad/21 and 22 directorys touchpad.cfg file
Code: line 28 change NUMTOUCH=2 to NUMTOUCH=10
