Hi! Does your device have a *slight* bulge on the back plate near the camera area? On my phone, above the SD card port and above the SIM card port, the back plate is just a little bit bulging. I assume that this is due to 2 factors: a) the phone gets hot and the glue gets soft; b) the heated internals swell a bit and therefore the backplate will be lifted.
Similar problem with Z series phones causes frame bending (because aluminium frame in this aspect is inferior to plastic frame) and I think this is also the cause for the well known back-plate or display cracking for Z phones. That leads me to another question - has your M4 display cracked "by itself"?
