[Q] Battery Drain (Software or Hardware)

I got an AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 2 this week. I am having a problem. I don't know if my unit is plauged by a Hardware or Software issue. The battery seems to go bad really quick. I tried a new battery. When I look in the battery stats it says the phone awake but the screen would never turn on. I don't know if it was the software or hardware. On both batteries.

Since I'm a hardware guy, I blame everything on our firmware images.
