Looking to swap my LG G2 for S6 wondering if I should expect (on average) equal, better or worse battery life?

Lots of mixed reviews all over the place. The alternative is G4 but prefer look of S6.

I bought the S6 after having an LG G2 and I'd say that it runs at about 95 % of what the LG G2 could handle. When you're doing heavy GPU activities it drains fast (like every other phone, duh) but my standby drain is non-existent where I have a drain of 2-3 % over night. When I'm not playing any games at all on my phone it can last for 48 hours with ease, when I play games on my phone I might have to charge it later coming the evening.

It's an insane upgrade from the G2 in every department, especially the camera, but if I'm perfectly honest I miss how well the G2 fit in my hand. The S6 feels a bit fragile and slippery but much much more premium :)

The g2 has much better standby time. It has better standby time than most phones I've ever seen. As far as the actual use of the phone. I get almost the identical results of my g2. And then of course everything else about the s6 is superior

i have used all 3 n many more... g2, g3, g4, s6, s6 edge...

the batt performance of g2 is incomparable.. serving in defense forces carrying a g2 was painless..it use to get me across 1 n half day no matter how rough use was it... all others failed miserably n s6 n s6edge have been really painful.. if sammy was so mch worried n concerned for apple replicas..may be instead of android 5 it shld hv made appsammy 7,
s6 has been a real fail in real terms nothing new..but my colleague hvng g4.. i must say its impressive.. n also the pics r also quiet clear...

Thanks for comments, better check out the g4, such a shame they didn't provide option for larger battery.
I'll say don't listen to them. S6 battery isn't that real bad, it even managed to slightly better than my Sony Z1c though I think G2 must be better. The problem is wifi draining battery bcoz it keeps scanning at the background so if u use wifi much it may used more battery than you expected, not sure if it got fixed in 5.1.1 yet.

The google play services on it drained really lots of battery out. By disabling the Location services, it will save many battery.

Update the google play services to this ver does save much battery as well.

Buy the Package Disabler Pro, it is an app designed for Samsung phones and can disable all apps including all system apps without requires root. Disable those who you don't use it, it will save u lots battery again.

i came from G2, and i must say G2 has had the best battery of all the phones i have owned. The phone was pretty well built too, it lasted me a good 1.5 yrs(longest any phone has lasted), and it was still very zippy. A great phone, great warrior.

S6 is better in pretty much everything except the battery and sometimes i feel it lags a bit even with 3 gb ram.
