Well none of the AT&T stores in my area have the Nokia 820 batteries in stock. They recommended I buy the battery on at&t.com:

I'm going to call AT&T warranty department back and see what they can do. I have never had good luck with companies that tell you to buy something and say they will reimburse you later.
