I would advice you against the case I bought last month in Obostore (CAPDASE Soft Jacket 2 Xpose Silicone Case for HTC Desire HD) sorry I can't post url's

It looks nice but pressing power button becomes a real nightmare. It's very very hard and annoying. I also noticed some issues with signal strength.

Right now I'm not using case at all, only a soft bag and I'm pretty happy with it.

If you want real quality and good protection I hardly recommend u to go to :

http://www.rearthusa.com/

I ordered 1 from there a few weeks ago, and its the best cover arround IMO.
Ive tried arround 8 different cover but this is beating all other covers by far!
That looks very nice!

There has been a lot of posts on how cases actually limit the GPS signal. Could you do a test?

Use the app GPS test and:

time to fix, and number of satellites found, without a case;
time to fix, and number of satellites found, WITH this case?

I am currently using the CaseMate Tough, but I have noticed a big drop in the GPS signal with the case on. Of course, it makes no sense to take the case off, just when you are going outdoors...

(The GPS antenna is buuilt into the flash module)

I use the Otterbox Defender for my DHD.
I have peace of mind and I haven't noticed any drop in GPS or any other radio.
Only down side is it adds more bulk but it still fits in my pockets.

maybe u can try this IDEFENSE Pro and iDEFENSE Carbon for HTC Desire HD
DEFENSE Pro™ is a thin film originally created for the military to protect the leading edge of helicopter blades. It allows it to curve and contour around an entire device and adhere to the device unless you want to remove it (without leaving adhesive), to protect your device against scratch without adding any bulk.

- Scratch Free
- Full Body Coverage
- Invisible Coverage
- No Added Bulk
- Improved Grip
- Removable (no residue left behind)

it is more reasonably priced compared to the Invisible Shield, and serves the same purpose.

Hi,

i'm using a OtterBox Defender and find it very useful except the Size, somehow hard to hide, but that's the Prize you've got to pay for almost perfect Protection i guess.

GEL case

Hi,

My wife has one of these for her DHD http://www.buybits.com/product/8368.aspx we have one for the Galaxy S as well both from the same place.

They look pretty much the same - I have used the same for the HD2 and HD7. Not sure if it protects it from dropping off car roofs when moving but if you drop it on the floor it is pretty much safe from knocks.

I guess it is depends on how clumsy you are :):):):):)

I must admit I wish there was one for the BB Touch :-(

Has anyone had any experience with Seidio cases?

I recently found their site and they offer an alternative to the Otterbox Defender case.

The Seidio case has the added advantage that the extra rugged protection can be removed, leaving just a normal silicone case so that it's not so bulky when you don't need the extra protection.

I would be interested to hear from anyone who has used one -

What do you think of it?

What's the quality like?

Sorry, I can't post links yet, but it's listed on Amazon.co.uk (search for seidio desire hd, it's the first result) and Seidio also have their own website.

Would someone be kind enough to post a link for me please?

I can definitely recommend the Otterbox Defender. Whereas its adds some bulk, the protection offered is excellent. Another good feature is the service Otterbox offers. I broke the beltclip accidentally but entirely due to my own fault. I emailed Otterbox in the States and they've just sent me the replacement parts without charge or shipping costs from the USA to The Netherlands. My next case, if any, will be Otterbox again. My wife uses the Otterbox Commuter which is also a good choice.

how's the volume and sleep/wake button?
Still accessible sir, since the phone is surrounded by a rubber "lip" at all sides and capdase created grooves in the material to easily access the power and volume buttons.

My only complaint is that the rubber is easy to pick up pocket lint, but so far the the experience is awesome.
