I've had on of these hydro gel cases for a few months now. They are dirt cheap and get the job done. Fit is great, buttons could be better but the case loosens up a bit over time. And it adds a little bulk obviously but who can complain for a price like that.

Got the Otterbox Commuter for 2 weeks now and its great! Looks really nice and gives superior protection with silicon and hardcase. Aso there is a piece of silicon to cover the micro-usb and headset ports at the bottom. Only negative point could be that it makes the device even bigger.

+1 for casemate's barely there, definitely makes it look like the case was part of the phone, nice and slick. comes with an awesome screen protector too

I have had one of these on my phone for around 8 months now. Its been accidentally dropped, thrown about even onto the pavement

Not a scratch on on the phone and even the case seems to show wear.

Then foolishly I switched the case for something which looked a bit more flashy and I dropped it once, the case shattered and what do you know theres a mark on my phone now

I've finally found the DHD case I like. IMHO it's the best compromise between protection, ease of use, quality and aesthetics.
Its called a mesh case and I also use it on my other phone. Please be careful when you buy one of these because they are all not the same, I had to go through 3 different ones from 3 different sellers on ebay to get the one I want, specifically the one with protection for the camera surround at the back. The other 2 I've bought simply have holes for the amera, and this 3rd one has a recess to protect the camera. To me it looks like the casemate barely there, but the mesh case looks better and it DOES NOT block GPS signal. The cutouts are all dead center too.

Get One!

I had One of this thin gel cases. Getting out of the subway someone bumps into me and the phone fell on concrete tiles. Screen shattered completely.

Just got my phone replaced by insurance and have now ordered a otterbox comuter. Hope this does a better job.

I've had the HTC's kickstand case with Invisble Shield for a half a year now, and not a scratch anywhere, even though my DHD has been with me in a motorbike crash etc.

It may not be the most protective on, but does ok and it's useful
