I (along with dozens of other folks) made the mistake and tried to install a i9100 ROM/Kernel on my I777 SII. I was able to unbrick my phone, but now, I still have the I9100 boot splash screen. Is there any way that I can recover the old/original splash screen?

Use a download mode jig or flash entropy 512's stock kernel via heimdall or Odin from this thread.

For more info check out all the questions and conversions all over the board about removing the custom binary warning triangle - as the I9100 and the warning triangle on the boot splash are triggered both by flashing any custom kernel via heimdall or Odin and are removed by flashing a stock kernel via heimdall or Odin, or by using a download mode jig.
