Hi,

I've managed to unlock my bootloader today. Rooted afterwards and installed a custom recovery (TWRP).
I rooted the device by using the superboot option ("a boot.img that when booted, will root your device the first time you boot"). However that option also changed the bootanimation. I don't particularly like that one so I want to change it. The problem is that when I try to flash a new bootanimation, it doesn't change at all. I tried to change it by both flashing the bootanimation and manually moving/replacing the bootanimation (yes, I used the correct file permissions); nothing worked.. Is there something I'm doing wrong or does a custom bootanimation require you to do something first..? I don't know, I guess you can help me out somehow :p

Thanks!

You also have to change the file "bootanimation" in system/bin/.

Solved! I had to copy the bootanimation.zip to /data/local/moodle/ aswell (permissions -rwxrwxrwx).
Changing the system/bin/ bootanimation file wasn't necessary.

Thanks for your help :good:

I have attached a file here download it extract it and copy it to system/bin/(here). And then copy your desired bootanimation.zip to system/media/(here). Change the permissions of both these files to rw-r-r. Reboot your phone to check of it works:good:
