[Q] Bravia Engine???

Hey Guys!!
Any possible ways to port Bravia Engine to Defy+ ?
As i can see Bravia Engine has been ported to many devices...

I'm sure if it is possible, but it would be awesome for defy to have it!
Sony uses adreno/qualcom chips, so maybe that would be a hindrance?

I guess it should not be a problem, as i have seen they have ported to optimus2x which is a Nividia chipset and Desire S as well.

Lets hope our Devs will look into this !!!

here is the original thread


copy the files to system\etc via root explorer and set the permissions rw-r-r
and add this to build.prop(located in \system) wityh these lines

#Sony Bravia Engine Service
ro.service.swiqi.supported=true
persist.service.swiqi.enable=1

reboot does it make any differences ?

before doing this first download a high resolution pic and see it before carefully without applying any patch ..then apply this and then see the difference

and post here then....

i have applied the patch i can see my screen more sharp but i dont knw its actually true or not...

lets see what more users have to say

and then download any terminal emulator from market and execute this

If you are using cm7 try this instead

Ive attached the zip file to be flashed in CWM (Thanks to alzbac http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1331391)

Then you have to manually set the permission and edit build.prop (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1380342)

Reboot.

Honestly i dont see much of a difference so im not even sure if it working

That zip wont work because it is specifically for cm7.
I tried the manual way on cm9 but it didnt work, i dont see any change

I can see...But it would be better if u attach two pics with same compression method (both .png or both .jpg, not one .png and one .jpg).

I used pics u attached and extract difference between them.
It was BraviaPic-NonBraviaPic, so it shows where BraviaPic is better.
As u can see...Not much, but it is

Its all about perception on such small screens, n I d personally hope our devs spend their precious times developing and fixing more important stuf, like ics!
