So for folks who have bricked Note 3's that want root.. I would follow the link below. Follow the directions carefully. This will NOT trigger KNOX. If you have Kies installed, uninstall it. What this does is it installs the base rom that your phone is shipped with. There are a few disclaimers, so heed those.

Drivers:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2038555

Odin:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39111722

ADB/Fast boot tools:

Root de la Vega [KNOX 0x0 Root - Lots of Versions - No Exynos]: (Find the Sprint version)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2479952

Now I am not sure how to flash the stock firmware without the CSC file or if it is even needed.

NON Root Stock files:

Go to http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/2/

Find your model number, the one for Sprint is SM-N900P and download. I am sure the file is going to be large, and you should be able to use odin for it.

Yeah says they're invalid serial numbers. I asked a buddy of mine to give me his numbers and I get the same error with his. I did the DEC number as both full XXXXXXXXXXXXX and XXX XXX XXX XXX etc ...

Neither work. Also tried with HEX. Guess I'm just seriously SOL.

The serial number is on the box the phone came in. It's under the second bar code. You have to enter it in into Kies the form of RS: 17-**** and it will work.

I also have this issue. I tried everything on the box and nothing seems to work. I keep getting a message to ever the correct S/N

*EDIT* it now tells me that SM-N900P does not support initialization

i dont know igf i bricked mny phone it turns on still but get pop ups saying that the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped
I doubt it, but I will try to answer your question and provide some suggestions.

First, your error message could be due to any number of issues, both minor or major, but if you're able to boot, it's neither hard nor soft bricked. Try going into app manager, scroll horizontally to the second to last page (all apps), scroll vertically to Google Play Services, clear app cache and data, reboot.

If that doesn't fix your issue, report back, and I would suggest that you provide some additional details, such as if you are rooted, the rom you are running, if you have recovery, and any other recent changes you might have made prior to encountering this issue.

With the above info, it will be easier for us to assist.

Good luck!

ok i rooted my phone the other day via rootandroid.com so im pretty sure the root was done properly. once the root was done i went into the rom manager cause i have nebver had a rooted phgone before and i just watned to explore with it . in the rom manager it advised me to make a recovery mode with CWM so i did that and it rebooted and everything and i dont really remember what i did just i remember along the end it asked something about flashing and it being irreversable. my phone turns on fine model is sm-n900w8 can call txt the phone is just really slow and lags alot and pops ups saying process com.google.process.gapps has stopped and other ones occasionaly saying things stopped responding
if you can help me fix this problem that will be much appreciated

So is your phone a n900w8 or a n900p if the first this is not a sprint phone .... The n900p is this forum it would help if you don't have a sprint phone to ask in your forum they will know better

But otherwise go to http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
Get your firmware and flash in Odin ...The w8 had a 4.4.2 leak I think or maybe was updated to 4.4.2 the other forum would know better

That's a Canadian phone, bro. Wrong forum.
@Epix4G has it dead right.
