not really the MOBO, the sound to audio jack part. now its always thinks theres something plugged, so no ring, and mono on headphones. happened after trying to plug in something that looked like 3.5 mm audio jack. it wasnt. and apps from the market didnt really help either:
com.woodslink.android.wiredheadphoneroutingfix
com.dwalkes.android.toggleheadset2
(cant add links as a new user)

anyone have some idea how to fix it? repairing the chip is out of the question.

Physical damage is not covered by the warranty, i hardly think they will do it for free. But yeah, they could fix it.

If you think you have the skills and you don't care too much about your phone, you could try to just remove it by yourself (if you have the tools for it, i hardly think it can be done with a soldering gun, but i haven't seen the internal of the phone :))

i said, repair is out of the question. no warranty at all. i opened the device, and its not the jack, its part of the board itself. see pictures
