I've searched the forum and people have asked this question in different sections without a solution being posted.
So my question is, if we use the method in the following thread,

should we be able to add facebook sync back to our gingerbread devices?
I don't know how to disassemble and re-compile apks otherwise I would have tried it and posted that... since people share ideas and work on this forum, I thought I'd post my idea and see if someone can make it work.
