Do you mean 4EXT recovery? ext4 is the name of a filesystem type.

If you do, then I am pretty sure that the NANDROID backups created by 4EXT are absolutely identical to those created with CWM, so you should be fine.

This especially, seeing as 4EXT backups still go into /sdcard/clockworkmod/backups

So - make sure when you copy your CWM backup back onto the phone, it goes into that folder, or 4EXT won't be able to find it to do the restore.

I recently tried to put my phone back to the stock Vodafone ROM that I backed up in CWM when I first rooted and the MD5 failed, so 4EXT wouldn't flash it. I'm going to have to read up on another method to get it back to stock incase it needs to go back as it's getting a bit unreliable lately. Sometimes people are trying to call me and getting a 'not available' message even though I am at home and my phone displays a full signal.

I upgraded the SD since though so I am blaming the transfer of the file between the two, NOT 4EXT.
