I have been a long time lurker of the Dell Streak Forums and have done my share of testing on it, but have never got around to registering an account until recently.
I'd like to give thanks for the efforts @giveen, @ccxxx, @ElfinJNoty and others have put into it, which have produced a semi-workable tablet running Jellybean. If I had any knowledge of compiling and development I would have liked to help out but judging by the lack of time, I have not been able to pick up anything as of yet.
Anyway, I have recently have been toying around with the workhorse phone, a Galaxy SII, and put on Lollipop on it. Despite the bugs, through the use of Xposed modules, I have made the phone work much better from the get go.
In contrast, I find that if I leave my sluggish Dell Streak 7 for a while after booting, it will eventually settle down enough to make it somewhat usable. I wonder if it's possible to use Xposed modules to disable to offending processes that is causing it to be freezing and working slowly, short of actually wishfully waiting around for someone to build a proper kernel?
I'll definitely try this out when I get home later.
