I can't remember how, but I ended up with 4EXT for OpenSensation and then TWRP2 for some reason.
Now when I launch recovery from 4EXT, TWRP2 shows up instead and appears to use some of 4EXT routines (based on what I see on the screen during process).

The backup/restore I have was made with TWRP. But I would also like to back up with 4EXT.
If only because when I mess up, 4EXT.zip is on my mSD and therefore easier to access.

Is there a way to force boot recovery to 4EXT? I don't want to toss TWRP as my current bu is made with it and works well (especially when I mess up).

You might want to consider only keeping 4ext. The reason behind this is because some roms require 4ext and won't work with team win . I'm not exactly sure which ones but you can usually read on the developers site if it's required. Also 4 ext is very easy to use and highly recommended. Yes you can easily do backups off 4ext also. It's up to you . I'm personally glad I switched to 4ext. In my opinion its much more user friendly and it just makes things very simple.

Sent from HTC sensation, soff, 3.33 firmware, viper Rom, sense 4.1,kernel- faux 10b6 , Mugen 3800 mah battery. Please press thanks if I helped in anyway. :)

I tend to agree. But I have been unable to figure out how to uninstall TWRP.

Flash a recovery from 4EXT recovery updater/control. It'll overwrite twrp

quite so. Thanks. It does appear to be slower to do things, but seems the popular recovery for the ROMs I've looked at or tried.
The touch of TWRP is a little easier on my eyes. But this is good. Not that I'll be changing ROMs every day.
