[Q] Cannot remove s-off

I have tried to flash with att rom's both 2.1 and 2.2 and I get back to factory but if I hold down volume and turn on it still has "liberty pvt ship s-off" I need to send this phone back and need to get it back to s-on. It will show the battery charging symbol if you plug it in when powered off but if a tech guy goes to bootloader then im screwed.. I have read the sticky and tried everything I know how to but still no solution. Please help...

I started a thread about the same exact thing. And I WAS going to try installing 2.2.2 from HTC's site. But, apprently this wont work.

And it was the only thing I could think of doing.

Edit: Just tell them you lost the phone and pony up the $50.

You could probably part out the device with issues and make a decent chunk of that 50 back, too.
