[Q] Car Dock

hmm maybe my dock is bad. I mean the difference between the dock jack and the jack on the phone is night and day. When pluged into the dock it sounds like the gain has been turned way down and the audio is flat.

Make sure the media volume is turned up on your phone before placing it in the dock, or turn it up from within your media player. It sounds like you are outputting a low signal a amplifying it through the stereo. I had a similar issue at first.

Don't think your dock is bad, mine is the same. Getting a hissing noise, like my AC is on, pushed through stereo audio.

I use the desk dock and rockplayer to watch movies on it and the sound is off. Even using the desk cradle app from samsung the audio is flat and tinny. I've turned the media volume all the way up and (duh) all that does is make it louder, does nothing for the audio quality.

Just hit the Speaker icon to turn "off" the speaker on the phone in the Car Cradle app. plays thru the headphone jack of the cradle just fine then.

Hopefully someone can help me with this, I've read through everything I can to get this Car Cradle 3.5mm audio port working but none of the suggestions I have found (including here) work or even applicable for me. When I have the phone in the Cradle with the audio jack and usb connected, it buzzes and starts charging so I know the USB portion is working, when I try the audio of course it comes through my phone speakers instead of the car. I opened the "Car Cradle App" and there is NO speaker button whatsoever ANYWHERE, not near the exit button, and this is the same when the unit is plugged in to the Cradle via USB and when it is not. It wouldn't even show up when I tried taking the Cradle out of my car and using my computer speakers and a USB cable charging from the wall. There simply is no AUX or Speaker button anywhere. Yes I have the latest firmware, etc. and yes my 3.5mm jack on my phone itself works perfectly through my car or computer when not using the Cradle at all. It really sucks because this is one of the coolest Cradle's I've ever seen and really like the design. If anyone has any insight into this please let me know, btw the captcha thing to be able to register here is one of the most obnoxious processes ever, sorry to complain.

Edit - I have no idea how I fixed it, but I'm pretty sure it has something to do with my phone automatically using mass storage mode even when plugging in to an external sound system, I also installed Launcher Pro Plus or whatever it's called to maximize my battery life, anyway, figured it out.
