Can you do it in the build.prop? I remember doing it on virtuous affinity, haven't tried it

I tried it one time with a LCD Density Changer from market, but the device had to much fc's :/

Forgot to install a different launcher,htc sense was always force closing, and everything else locked terrible. Back to ice cold

What's the point of changing the dpi settings? Dpi is a matter of hardware after all!
Make things look bigger/smaller. In some roms, like ice cold it triggers tablet ui, complete with soft keys and navbar
