[Q] Changing System Font on Thunderbolt

I was recently sent a Droid Charge by Verizon as a replacement for my Thunderbolt which fell victim to the seemingly constant reboots after the May OTA update, but I HATE the Charge and am sending it back and want to keep my Thunderbolt now. However, the Charge had an option to change the system font (and, when you changed the system font, it changed almost EVERYTHING on that phone to that font, including things like the names of streets on the maps in Google Navigation, etc - and I loved that!) and now I want to be able to do that on my Thunderbolt. I have a few quick questions about that:

1. What is the easiest way to change my Thunderbolt's system font?

2. Do you HAVE to be rooted in order to do that? If so, what is the absolute simplest way to root my Thunderbolt? You'll have to pardon me, I'm VERY knowledgeable about tweaking Windows PC's and I know a lot about smartphones, but I've never rooted and I'm pretty clueless about doing that!

3. Is it possible to root my Thunderbolt and still have it appear completely stock, except for changing the font? I don't want to change my phone in any other way except for the font - with the possible exception of deleting some of the Verizon bloatware/crapware!

Thanks in advance for any help!

You can root with a guide in the Dev forum, and install a stock debloated rom.. as for changing the font, I use font changer which is a root app and as far as I can tell it themes everything.. I use the stock Ubuntu font :D

Sent from my ThunderBolt using XDA Premium App
