[Q] `CM10 but no touchscreen

short version,
i have s 0n cm10.1 and supersu...i would like to supercid and s off but cant get online for adb
never got a whitelist prompt perhaps bc its unlocked bootloader.
I additionally have no touchscreen on another device i have flashed the rom and bootloaded .img several times..

I installed cm10.1 to my 4glte and just got a never ending cm logo, wipe, did several more and finally booted but touchscreen didnt work, tried several more and finally got it to work but immediatelly give stopped error, then got it to work, with flashing screen, had to find developers options and disable hw overlay on first three boots. works ok now. tried on other fhone and no screen. would like to s off but with no screen, cannot select debug. on fone that works it always says offline in adb but if i adb devices and in recovery it shows the serial and says recovery beside it as well and if i adb shell, it turns the prompt into special characters, no colon or anything. whats this twrp shell mode for?

I gather that you are on the latest update, and that your touchscreen is functional (as in you can see the display), but it doesn't respond to any touch input.

The latest OTA update from Sprint included an upgraded touch panel driver, so you can only run 3.16 software-base ROM's. You also must use TWRP 2.4 or higher. This is why the touch screen isn't working for you on CM 10.1. You can downgrade your touch panel driver, but you have to be S-off in order to do so.

If you're on the newest OTA you can't use Facepalm; you'll have to use Baby Racun/Dirty Racun to gain S-off.

Dirtyracun step 3?

Thanks for the input, I understand now about the ota as youve mentioned. I flashed it with 2.4 twrp. i cant get online to the adb unless in recovery. ive instsalled umbuntu and am looking at dirtyracun but even as i read step three, i realize, i dont even know how to open a cmd in ubuntu or navigate the system so i willl have to look for some good tutorials. Would be nice if someone would post exactely how to do what the instruct is saying or a video or anything. its getting a little addicting the more i learn tho. . I have supersu flashed but looks like facepalm needs supercid. Any other instruction or links would be greatly appreciated.
