[Q] Connecting to PC via USB disables my wireless adapter

Hi,

I have a stock Captivate and everytime I connect it to the PC it starts installing the drivers, but then stops and disables my WiFi adapter RTL8187, i have to either reboot the pc, or sometimes even reinstall the drivers to get it working again.
I tried connecting the phone with AND without Kies installed, same thing. Also tried with all three options on the USB connection setting, and it still does it. Any help or suggestions?

I tried installing the galaxy s drivers separately, and it still doesn't work, the device is seen in the device manager however. It still disables my internet adapter so it can't finish installing itself when connected...

I suspect your wifi adapter is the one interfering in the install, disable it before installating the drivers and pluging your phone.

-Unplug your phone
-Uninstall any previous installation if there are any and reboot
-Download this driver if it's not already done.
-Disable your Wifi adapter in the device manager
-Install the newly downloaded driver
-Plug in your phone and wait for the install to complete.
-Reboot your pc with phone unplugged
