Hello,

I am trying to follow the instructions to load a new ROM on my ASUS TF701. One of the steps is to install CWM. When I go to that website to download it, the instructions there speak about the TF701T and the need to have updated to the stock ROM Android 4.3 using the ASUS website. However the 701 is older than the 701T and mine only has Android 4.2.1 . So I am hesitant to attempt to install this CWM version, as the instructions state that the OS needs to be at 4.3 . I cannot get my device to 4.3, as ASUS does not support it anymore.

Someone, please point me in the right direction on this issue, as I don't want to brick my tablet. Thanks much in advance.

Hi Jeff,
Check the About tablet section in Settings, post your model number and build number.
There is only one version of the TF701T. You might be confusing this with the TF101???
The TF701 (most people drop the T when talking about it) is still supported by Asus. Barely, but it is. Maybe you have the TF700???
Before you do anything, establish which tablet you actually have!

BTW, it's really not a good idea to have your gmail address as your user name and use your full name in your posts! Get that edited or contact @moderator23 to do it for you.
