[q] cwm touch - help!!

OK...I have recently just rooted my Epic Touch. I really like the CWM Touch, but the only way I can get into it is thru ROM Manager. It wont boot into CWM using Vol up and power. It boots into the factory recovery.
My question:

Is this right? Is that how it SHOULD be? I can flash the Rogue CWM and boot into it thru vol up and power, but would like to boot into the CWM Touch the same way.

Any feedback!?

Did you get CWM touch through rom manager? That's your problem. Look for rogue hitman in dev section. Flash through CWM and now you have the hitman kernel along with CWM touch

Edit: do not use rom manager, ever. Not for us my friend

Yeah...I typically dont. I never have on any other device ive had. I only used it this time to boot into recovery. I was gonna use the Rogue CWM but a couple of the ROMS say NOT to use it to flash that particular ROM with...specifically Blazer Rom.

Suggestions with that?

I know it works fine on the blu kuban rom. I'm pretty sure you can use it on blazer after you install blazer. just if you do it before blazer it doesn't work right. I am talking about hitman btw. definately rom manager doesn't work for us.

You can use rogue with blazer as there are different versions of it. Phantom is speaking of the rogue hitman that's coupled with touch recovery. You can use the version before that "gunslinger" and you'll be fine.
I am currently using rogue stock el29, which can be found in the dev section

I do not really see any purpose of using CWM touch. The volume bar works just fine to navigate up and down. Seems like an unneeded improvement. Props to the devs for continuously pushing things further for that I am very grateful but personally I have no desire to change.

myself and my coworker seem to both have a problem flashing rogue hitman 1.50 on calks 2.8.1. not making a complaint here, as ive used it, and prefer the vol buttons like the above poster, just wanted to add that it may be a common thing for this rom/phone. i prefer 1.4.1
