I'd like to try BaiduInput (Chinese handwriting among other input modalities on my G Tablet running Cyanogenmod 6.1.0-Beta4-Harmony and Froyo 2.2.1) but the program is not available on Google Market despite it states it is compatible with Android 1.6 forward.

I do have it running on my Google Nexus phone running Android 4.2 where it works nicely. I do have the Google Pinyin IME keyboard installed on both the G Tablet and the Nexus phone, it works nicely on both but does not offer handwriting input.

Does anyone have Baidu Input running? Thanks.

You could install ES File Explorer (from the market or internet) on your Nexus phone and make a backup of BaiduInput.apk (or whatever it is called). Then transfer it to the Gtab (using bluetooth or a PC) and install. No guarantee the app will work on the Gtab, but it might.

About your Gapps question in another thread, they should update through the market to the latest version available. You are running a Froyo build, which is old, so there probably haven't been any updates to it's version of Gapps in quite a while. If you want to use the newer versions, you will probably have to update to a newer rom/android version.

I do have ES File Explorer installed on my Nexus phone and will try your suggestion. Thank you.

As for updating to a later ROM, I would love to but last I checked - which is quite some time ago - there were no Tegra 2 drivers for the G tablet supporting later ROMs, thus adversely affecting speed.

Perhaps that has been corrected? If so, what would you suggest I update to (that is stable, works well etcl)?
