[Q] Dark Knight Rises Lumia 800 - lost content

Hi guys, I was wondering if any one could help me out.

I've got a Nokia Lumia 800 Dark Knight Rises edition device and had to reset it. This meant that I lost all of the exclusive ringtones, videos, wallpapers and downloadable content that was present with the device, and in the settings and about phone section it lists the phone as a standard Nokia Lumia 800, as opposed to a DKR edition one.

I thought that these extras would be baked into the ROM, so I didn't think that a full reset would wipe any of it.

Is there any chance at all that I could get this stuff back, either through flashing a Dark Knight Rises ROM onto the device, or if anyone can share the content with me on here, that would be great.

I know it's a long shot but I thought I'd ask any way.

That really sucks for you , but even if you were able to interop unlock your phone (provided it has the qualcomm bootloader) I don't think anyone here has the cab with all the extra content, I dont think it's on navifirm either. There is a dark knight rises app on marketplace from Nokia....not sure if installing it on your phone will help. My best bet would simply be to return it to the shop you got it from and ask them to load the extra content again.

Thanks for the help. I can't believe that it wasn't cooked into the ROM itself, you would have thought that they would have taken into account this sort of thing happening!

From the looks of it they added the exclusive content after flashing the ROM, which indeed seems really dumb.

I'd contact Nokia Care about this, they should know what your options are on this.

Heres a solution!

Al right I have a one of 40 too. And yesterday like an idiot I reset my phone. I tried in vain but couldn't get my content back and was crestfallen. Saw your thread also, and since I may have a solution I thought i should try helping you out.

So here goes nothing and this will work only if you are lucky.
1. Connect your phone to zune.
2. go into Settings > Phone > Update
3. Say restore.
4. Cross your fingers and pray.

If it works congratulations. If it doesn't then that means Zune didn't backup properly, in which case you have a beautiful phone anyway.
