[Q] Dead Streak 7 ?

Received my Streak 7 on feb 8th and it was working great. I actually didn't mind it's "shortcomings" and had a lot of fun using it. On the evening of feb 9th it locked up and became unresponsive. I held in the power button until it shutdown and then powered it back up just fine. I played with it some more and set it down for about 5 minuets and when I picked it back up it was dead. When I left it the battery was at about 80% so I'm sure the batter hadn't drained.

Now it won't charge the battery or show any signs of life what so ever. I searched the dell forums and looked through the manual to no avail. so, I figured I'd ask here. Is there any way anyone knows of to do a full hardware rest and maybe resurrect this poor thing? I'm pretty sure there isn't anything I can do for her but call Dell for an RMA but I hoped it couldn't hurt to ask.

Hold the plus side of the volume button then hold power should bring you into bootloader. Use the volume keys for up or down. Then to make a selection press the power button. Try a factory restore or i believe where the sd card and sim card is located there is a reset button or try that. Thats weird that it did that. Good luck.

I had the same exact problem wont charge... tmoble replaced it!

had the same problem early tab just locked up on me reset it through the little pin hole all is good.

Mine's all good now. It charges fine and power cycles just peachy.

I've been rocking out the emulators on it. Loving it so far.

Dead Dell 7

My Dell 7 also wouldnt turn on, the home button stay on but I couldnt get screen to boot up. Before that happen the battery was running very hot and screen Would flicker.
I took it back and T Mobile replaced it.

Same thing happened to me. Had my Dell Streak 7 for about 12 days and it totally locked up, wouldn't charge, and wouldn't turn on. We did a factory reset and it seemed to work but I don't trust that it wouldn't happen again so its going back and I'm getting a Galaxy.
