[Q] Dead zone on Digitizer

Hi there

I am hoping some one can help me out here .
i am on my 3rd digitizer for my atrix 4g and i get the same dead zone on all 3 the second was OEM the 3rd (current)
is an orrigonal part.
i dont remember when this started i am affriad so i carnt tell you that however this is the information i can give you.

The phone is
Network Unlocked (via at&t code prior owner)
Unlocked
running a custom rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1694390) that rom

that is the dead zone it includes the Mic button at the bottem.

i am hoping some one has some idears for me as 2 digitizers and still a dead phone is a lill dripressing.

I am in a similar boat. I replaced my digitizer twice now because of a dead zone. Now I have a working screen, but can only get two touch points to work and ICSROM does not initialize the touchpad properly and touchscreen is dead. Tried the PDS partition fix but no help.

I suspect from other readings that the front flex cable harness is slightly damaged and ordered one here. They are pretty cheap now for most Atrix 4G parts...

Now I am afraid to try swapping this cable out and damaging the phone even more. Its usable for me with GB/CM7 ROMs and two finger multi-touch!

i have replaced that cable myself to try and fix my earpice (with no sucsess at all tbh)
i have used OEM first then a orig one both off ebay but still have that dead zone
so i dont think it is to do with the flex.

but sayin that i have absolutly zero clue what it could be atm i would jus love the screen to wotk i can
live with no earpice i have blutooth by the dozen
