s10-569.7z

Flash 6,7,8,11 and see if that boots.

If it doesnt then flash 3,4. If that still doesnt work, then I have no idea and prob cant help any further
Thank you very much. It worked! I was able to update to 569!
BTW, I was not able to flash Partition 3(Partition Table).

I am getting a Wifi Error after installing GApps through ADB.
Is there any fix for this? Streak7 506-Wifi?

Once again thanks!!!

What's the exact error? I'll need more details.

Which files did you flash? did you have to flash 4 also?

I flashed 6, 7, 8, 11 and it didnt boot so I flashed 4 also..

But I beleive flashing 8 alone will work... Just to do the factory reset.
=Tried flashing partition 3=
nvflash -r --download 3 p
Nvflash started
[resume mode]
failed executing command 14 NvError 0x120002
command failure: partition download failed (bad command)

I flashed CM9 then flashed p8.img(the one sent by you) then did a factory reset..booted into 569 stock.

Wifi problem scenario
-------------------------------
Flashed boot32rooted.img (Dell Streak 10 Root toolbox-> ht*p://dl.vmall.com/c0cr15i42n)
and installed Superuser through adb.
When I try selecting the "Wifi" Checkbox, "Error" is displayed.
Check attached screenshot.

Then pushed GApps(gapps-gb-20110828-signed) through adb.
*Pushed the following only
GoogleContactsSyncAdapter.apk
GoogleServicesFramework.apk
Vending.apk
Talk.apk

And reverted the boot image sent by you and got my Wifi working.

Different question...
I have problem with the Contacts that was sycned. Normally only "My Contacts"
group alone will be synced but other groups like "Circles" and "Other Contacts"
were also synced. Not able to install GMail/Maps from Play Storeersion compatibility Error).

Is the version of GApps I am using correct? Is it ok if I try installing the
latest(available) version for GB? I beleive there is no GApps for HC.

Thanks

Rooting wise, you should flash CWM or TWRP for the S10 and use superuser.zip.
I straight up do not recommend rooting in any way that doesnt not involve a custom recovery and superuser.zip (either from me or directly from authors of supersu or superuser)
the root image might have been from 568, you cannot mix and match kernels like that without things like wifi breaking, flash back the kernel from my 569 pack.

Gapps for HC is one version I have not prepared.
I can recommend grabbing the 514 (any version) rom from the S7 and pulling all the gapps files from it.
Perhaps I will make a gapps for HC using 514 as my source.

If you are manually copying them, make sure their permissions are correct (rw-rw-r--) (root, root).
Googleservicesframework.apk must be placed in /system/app, the other do not (but are highly recommended)

You also MUST use one for HC, you cannot mix and match anything beyond the play store apk.

Thanks for the info.
Shall check 514 for S7.

The Stock 551 for S10 also had GApps for HC. I shall pull from that and try installing.
It was working fine in that ROM except for the Google Play crashing frequently.

Rooting > I tried installing Superuser.zip from CWM. I am not able to remount from adb. I get permission error.
Any clue?

adb remount requires a modified kernel (specifically scripts in the ramdisk), this is by design.
If you are rooted, you can manually remount with busybox

You could also use the gapps from 551, they should also work.

I finally got around and updated gapps for 2.3/3.2/4.0/4.1

I've just tested it on my S7/514 and S10/569 and it works fine.
I would recommend flashing my packages as they're newer then the ones on 551.

Surprisingly, 551 came out a mere week after 3.2's source code was released.
A similar thing happened when they were making the initial 3.1 rom.

Either pegatron has early access, or they're simply very quick when it comes to porting,
unfortunately that doesnt mean we'll ever get JB :(

Is it possible for you to upload GApps for 3.2 as I currently dont have access to S7...

I also beleive Pegatron/DELL had early access...waiting for our developers for the JB/ICS...

The gapps packages are all in the dev subforum.

I believe they did, as 551 was released only a week after the sdk was released.
Except for 3.x, the source code is released publicly at the same time.
They couldnt have ported it in a week, they must have had at least early access
