It's a damn shame neither HTC or Nokia make a device like the HD2. I will not buy another Windows smart phone until I know these WP8s can be HSPL or whatever it's WP8 version is. What you guys have done with these devices...a locked device is like a brick with crayons drawn on it.

Ok.I have dev unlocked HTC 8S and when i try do deploy this app it starts and in the middle come up with the Error - 81030120.How about we all save some time and stop trying this silly idea, huh?
The interop unlock you're trying to install was for older HTC WP7 devices. It doesn't work on newer devices, and it certainly won't work on WP8 devices. The apps won't work for two reasons:
-Your device isn't interop unlocked
-The binaries are compiled for WP7, not WP8. Not even simple innocent apps like Orientation Lock run under WP8, because they aren't compiled correctly for WP8, nor do they use the correct APIs.
What should be encouraged, however, is an evaluation of the OEM apps on the device, to see if any have exploitable holes. I'm guessing that HTC has learned its lesson by now, but hey, worth trying.
Also, I'm curious to see if this XAP will do anything if sideloaded. I'm guessing no, as it won't have interop privileges, but I'm still curious to see what happens.
I know that this is because of the interop unlock but any chance to workaround this error at least?
I`ve found this reply here on XDA where i can try to delete the INTEROPSERVICES line and maybe get further but i`m little neewbish in this.
Any ideas or something i can try on my device so i can help somehow?
Dude, that's a bump of nearly a year!! There is still no unlock for any device other than ativ s, some of the smartest people on the site are working at it.

Thread Necro much? Anyways, removing that line removes the extra privileges that the app needs, but WP7 interop apps work differently than WP8 apps do....
I am aware of all this i`ve just wanted to make sure that HTC Windows Phones are not forgotten.

Mate, you're right, htc 8x is completely forgotten, as the Windows Phone update as of users.. you cant even flash stock rom,shame..Now I bought Htc WP phone and never again!Only Nokia.Best support.
you can try to deploy the app using "xap deployed 2.0" but it's certainly not going to work.
