I have tried the "100% guaranteed" method a few times and it hasn't worked for me on my Sprint S3. I was using DFS yesterday and earlier today and it would work half of the time and the other half it just wouldn't show that right COM so I couldn't select it. Now it just won't work at all. I can see that windows sees the phone by going into the device manager. Any ideas? In the meantime I'm going to try a factory reset.

Also, has anyone had luck getting this onto Virgin? I have previously done an Evo 3D and an Epic 4g Touch but this device has been particularly difficult. Any help or guides would be greatly appreciated:D

what worked for me was i had to downgrade my radio/kernel to JB LJ7 viola...was able to connect to DFS CDMA WS...etc...sorry you will have to go into development section and do a search for it....but something about the current kernel just wont let you get into diag

I have downloaded LJ7 and was able to get DFS to recognize my phone. When I tried to change the ESN/MEID, i get the following error:

SET ESN CPS_ERROR BAD_SECURITY_MODE
SET MEID CPS_ERROR BAD_SECURITY_MODE

I'm able to get into the ##DIAG# and used PDA and RMNET but still get the same error message.
Any suggestions? I'm using the demo mode of DFS 4.6.4.3
I also tried 4.0.0.3 but no success.

I hope this works on ATT Note II

After a week of trying to get QPST to see my phone to recognized. This is the best thing I hear of. I'm trying to change the QCN file to get it on Tmobile. Using the QPST process is not working is there another way? Tired and need help.. plss:silly:

thanks

Hey buddy, I was working on flashing my brand new never-activated S3 and became across the same issue with DFS not recognizing my S3. Here is my 100% working solution!!!

Step By Step. Sprint GS3 Instructions.

1. Put your S3 out of DIAG MODE,
---DIAL##3424#
-Select PDA, MTP + ADB. Then press back button all the way to homescreen.

2. Reboot phone.

3. Once your phone is back, put your S3 in DIAG MODE again.
----DIAL ##3424#
Select CDMA MODEM, DM+MODEM+ADB. Then press back button all the way to homescreen.

Plug it in, give it a second. And tada, DFS detects your S3 as an online device. I'm guessing Samsung limited the number of times you can plug in your phone and read/write programming settings, to 1 per boot. By the way, I'm working on flashing it to Virgin Mobile USA.

Thanks so muh man i´ve so tired to try thousands solutions and no one seems to work but yours work thanks one more time

Ok guys to get this to work you need to select:

unplug phone
select CDMA MODEM, DM+MODEM+ADB
Plug in phone

Goto your device manager here should be a SERIAL connection, if not reinstall the drivers

Then load up DFS, you have to select the SERIAL CONNECTION (double click it) do not select the modem connection!

The red text should turn yellow and your almost there

To read or write anything you need to send the SPC/MSL code. Its not 000000, enter the correct msl code and it should be unlocked!

Wow, a year later and I don't think anyone seen this but me. It helped me connect to DFS. But then, I evidently don't have the right Pwd since it won't write any of the fields. the log just spits out, Security Password - Bad PWD Value - Unlock Failed. Not sure what to do now.
