[Q] Did anyone manage to re-activate telephony on Nexus 7 3G?

Just wondering if any developer here managed to re-activate telephony feature on the Nexus 7 3G. It would be really convenient function to have. I was wondering why I couldn't top up my prepaid with the Nexus 7 :/

Afaik its because of a possible hardware limitation/ lack of a telephoney radio for the device. And i dont think that will change any time soon :/
