Hello everyone!

I was just wondering if any of you actually removed the Anti-Shatter Film since after just over 8 months old my phone's film gathers fingerprints and scratches like crazy and I was thinking of doing it myself. At first I was waiting 'cause I wanted to apply something like Crystalusion so as to make the Dragontrail glass below the ASF a little more fingerprint-resistant, but since my stupid country's customs won't allow anything through I can't import it anymore.
So, what do you say? Did you remove your ASF? Does gliding your finger over the touchscreen feel smoother now? Is it too much of a fingerprint magnet (I guess it is, but wth)?

Yep, I did.

For some time I used a scratch resistant film on top of it.. than removed it, and used just the anti-shatter... but it was horrible compared to my girlfriends Xperia SP Gorilla Glass.

Some weeks ago I finally decided to remove it. Dude, that film is THICK, its made from a PET plastic thing.. just like a soda plastic bottle.

Its just a complete different phone now, so much better to the touch, the colors are awesome.. even the sharpness seems better. If I knew it would be this much better, I would have removed it from day 0!!

Although I did put an opaque film now... Its better the anti-shatter film... but I miss the feel of the glass screen, and the image is worse too.

I wish Sony published some info about this screen.. as no one knows if its really Dragontail or some generic gorilla glass, I won't risk to scratch it for good.

Thanks for your reply! Yeah, I've seen some videos on YouTube on how to remove it and just from watching I can see it's quite thick.

Well, now that you mention it, I went on the Internet and I found this, which says that it isn't DragonTrail but should be as strong. I'm not sure I want to scratch my phone permanently now, but if Sony intended me to scratch it's ASF until I replace the phone itself then they thought wrong. I honestly prefer to just scratch the screen itself and have a smoother experience in the process, right?
