Hope I dont get flamed for this but i guess getting flammed on the internet is better then messing up my girlfriend's phone :p. I have a Sprint GS3 and all the ROMs on the forums over there are made specifically for Sprint phones. I'm just curious as to how it works having AT&T, Rogers, Bell ect. in the same forum? Do all ROMs work for all carriers in this forum? Should I only be flashing ATT ROMs? Im nervous to have her flash something and mess her phone up...I just did the no trip root method and bumped her up to Jellybean. I'm glad y'all finally got some JB love over here! Any tips or advice on what not to do would be appreciated.

Thanks

Edit: Also see people having issues with loosing their IMEI...how are people doing this? Looks like its mainly from installing custom ROMs... Looks like you can back up your IMEI, but what are these people doing to have this happen to them because I'd like to avoid that also...

nope only flash sprint ones. i heard that tmo ones work with att. but other then that you gotta flash your own model
No i understand that... My girlfriend has an AT&T GS3 that i just rooted for her. I was wondering if theres anything i have to worry about flashing Rogers or other carriers listed in this sections development forums? I've read something about changing APN's and other stuff that is foreign to me being on Sprint.

if it's in this section, you're most likely safe to flash it.

as for the 0 IMEI bug/glitch/thing... that's just a random thing, there's really no way to know if it'll happen the next time you flash a ROM. you just have to take precautions. backup your IMEI. if you flash your first ROM, and your IMEI is there, try to stick with that ROM.

Appreciate the response. Damn... so now every time you flash a ROM you need to not only make a nandroid but also back up your IMEI? also... i don't have an ATT GS3 in front of me...How hard is it to change your APN settings? I heard you need to mess with that sometimes if you're having LTE issues. We don't have an option like that on our phone

once you backup your IMEI, it's backed up. just don't lose your backup. so make a backup of your backup. :)

as for APN settings, that varies as well. it all depends on ROM, location, signal, provider, etc. but it's rather straight forward. go to your network settings, and you'll see a menu for APN. you don't need an ATT phone to see it.

Sorry didnt understand your question...
Yea hardware on i747 and i747m are the same therefore you can flash the same roms on each device. All you have to do is flash the correct modem and fix the apns for your carrier att, telus etc
