[Q] different partition table layout possible on a Legend? [S-OFF]

I've been searching and didn't find a satisfying answer (yes)....

For me the most important reason to have s-off on my Desire is to be able to change the partition table layout.
Now I've managed to s-off my wives Legend and I'd like to change it also on her phone.

So if anyone's got it or knows how to....let me know please

I know about this method. I'd rather not use this. Need a changed hboot, like available for the Desire.

You cant use a custom hboot like desire as we do not have them! The only way to do it is in that post....

Start off by flashing your chosen rom, while in recovery do..

adb shell df -f -h

This will show your partitions,say your system has 130000kb used and 2000kb free
open up mtdpartmap.txt and change the first number to 135000 and the second to 10
mtd 135 10

That will do 135mb /system and 10mb /cache leaving the remaining for /data

If you do a backup you SHOULD be safe.

Why do you want to do it though? Theres always A2SD or Data2EXT
