the screen resolution is a huge plus, camera is better, it is a newer phone with more support, ics is hopefully coming to our phone, etc. i don't have any of the problems you're describing, except for the wi-fi death grip. i can live with that, since i'm not going to constantly block the antenna location :) sensation was practically a free upgrade for me, and i don't regret it at all.
Dont get me wrong the inside of the sensation is way better but its build like crap. I wish a hd2 with the sensation hardware but HTC is getting worser, and things like the spyware logging **** and the fake 1.2 CPU which is the same as the 1.5 sensation XE CPU don't let me like HTC anymore. But other manufacturer are not better, i hope the nexus prime will be a good phone.

yeah, i loved the hd2's build quality. i'll probably buy one for $50 on cragslist just to have it as a back up phone :)

Had the Sensation when it hit the market where i live and did like it even back then, but till now i have use my Gs2. But today i got my new Sensation Xe that some told is the same as sensation with some diffrent colors and uppgraded hardware, but as i just love the "Black" i could not say no to buy one... And so far i have try the problem even i had on sensation on the Wifi signal and on my new Xe i cant lose it like i did on the first sensation and overall it just feel more "snappy".

Nope, enjoying the phone more and more as I'm a new Android user,so interesting things just keep poping out :) Could have gotten the SGSII but somehow I don't like phones with sharp edges like IP4&4s&SGSII..They just don't feel good in my hand..

how are any of those phone an upgrade? xe has the same proc clocked at its native speed. xl has larger screen with lower res and a single core proc.

I love this phone. My only regret is that after using the 1.2GHz dual core monster, I've realized that it's completely unnecessary since all I use a phone for is texting, email and angry birds...

No I wouldn't. Customer service is great but the device is lacking .
I'm using my vibrant with miui and it out does the sensation in many ways
at this point I am trying to be happy with what I have and work out the bug as fixes come out

Kinda, what really makes me regret it, that not even 3 weeks after buying this phone the sensation XE came, then XL, and then another HTC phone that is even better. I am sure you guys know that felling. I wanted the Sensation, because I've always loved HTC, but now I see it as a slow and rubish company. They spit out phones like crazy. HTC sensation got the problem with sound when you are recording, it is awful! And yet the HTC amaze 4G have that phone, one of the newest phones on the market, and not to forget the power button issue which HTC haven't fixed yet. They are really slow moving. I get that HTC doesn't really care about it's costumer's only the fame and money, but they can't seem to fix any of there phones. And you you are properly thinking, what about the security fix they did? Well almost every developer in here, can do a fix. I am really surprised in a bad way.

Oh and the phone well, beside the power button issue .. Well.... In some cases you wanted it to be a bit faster, and HTC sense and all that uses ALOT of ram, and I only got well 178 MB ram left, of what 580 MB? That is not what i payed for.

The simple answer is : Kinda.

No...I don't regret too...besides the poor speaker performance, and wifi drops, when you put your hands across camera in landscape mod, I haven't faced any issue with it, absolute beauty, I guess speaker problem will be solved when htc release improved kernel with audio drivers.

Dude.. That's every damn company nowdays. You buy a phone, think it's the best phone there is and a week later the same company announces an upgraded model. NEVER buy a phone for latest technology and speed, as it won't last for longer than a few months. Buy a phone that YOU want and like. XE is no better than Sensation btw.

I've come to the conclusion that the more expensive your phone is, the more you'll regret buying it after a while.

I did not regret buying the Sensation at all. If I was shopping for a phone right now, I would still buy a sensation but probably the XE. I am not digging the red accents though but I like the increase in processor speed. I like to stay stock that is why I like the increase speed of the XE.
