(Stock unrooted) I've got usb speakers that work fine with a normal otg cable but I'm not getting anything with a powered otg cable besides when I plug it in it says my tablet's charging even when I unplug it until I restart the device help me before I accidentally blow my tablet up please.

He says the nexus 7 (mine is 3g 2012 I don't know what one he means) works with powered otg I couldn't even get normal otg working on mine unrooted stock lolipop, if neither the tegra note nor the nexus can do powered otg by unrooted default I wouldn't mind using either device so whichever is easier is the one I'd like to get powered otg. I don't have a problem with rooting I have the nexus toolkit and the tegra note toolkit but whichever one is less complicated afterwards and/or the most updated android-wise if it's the same difficulty. 100% intended for google play music
If both devices need to be rooted and downgraded below kit kat in order to do this I will just buy a 3.5" to 3.5" cord because the speakers have 3.5 input but they didn't come with the cord of course
so to make things easy for you just reply with 3.5 and I'll get the hint
