[Q] Does the HD+ sd boot require rooting?

(caveat: I am new to android and have done searches within xda and general online searches and while I think I have the answer, I'd love input from those who know for certain).

As the title states: does the HD+ CM10 sd card boot require rooting the HD+? Optimally, I would love it if it doesn't so that I, in my utter newbishness, could jump into android without voiding my warranty.

No it doesn't need rooting. It is independent from the system in internal flash.

You insert the card, it boots CM10, you remove it, you have old untouched original system :)

Thank you! That's what I thought, but wanted to verify that what held true for the nook color/tablet was still true for the HD+ (and hopefully HD in the future). :D
