[Q] Don't think I'm Lame.....But I Can't Figure this Out

So I have the Stingray Version of the Motorola Xoom 10.1". (The Verizon 3G/WiFi Model MZ600). Anyway I've always been very weary of rooting this device. Mainly I think because it was my first Android device, and it has some sentimental value of sorts to me. And, because I haven't been very confident in the Forum Threads that I've come across on rooting The Original Xoom. I just don't want to end up doing something to it that I can't fix.

I also haven't been able to find an actual working Download Link for a 1-Click Method or All-In-One Tool to get the job done. I've seen plenty of articles on it, like XxLordxX links, but his didn't work for some reason, and any other Links I come across, when I click on the links, they are either set to private, or they are removed, or closed down. I am not fluent enough in Command Prompt, or ADB Terminal to be able to type in the code to manually root my Xoom. I just need some help, if anyone out there can help me out I'd greatly appreciate it.

I also have a Samsung Galaxy S3 (SGH-I747) which I used Odin v3.05 to root. I am sort of familiar with Odin, but I don't know if there is something like that for the Xoom.

I should probably also point out that the Specs for my Xoom are as follows:

Android Version: 4.0.4
Baseband Version: CDMA_N_03.1A65P
Kernel Version: 2.6.39.4-g42a0480
[email protected] #1
SMP PREEMPT Tue Mar 13 15:58:08 PDT 2012
Build Number: IMM76L

Once again, any help that is given will be greatly appreciated. I really want to root my Xoom now, it's taken me a long time to decide, but now I'm ready lol.

you can, but i found TWRP a lot easier to use than CWMR

When you say you were "trying to find the package file you used to flash" what exactly are you talking about?

What did you mean when you said "EDIT: I found what I used to flash after using TeamWin Recovery"

How did you find this "package file" you speak of using TWRP?

How would I go about using TWRP? Seeing as how I've never used it before, lol...Also, My original post question, was asking if anyone knew of an easy-ish way to ROOT my Xoom......

Sorry for the questions, but I'm very nervous about doing anything to my Xoom.

Unfortunately you're still not really answering my question. Which is how did you actually Root your Xoom? And how would I go about Rooting mine? The "1 touch" that I was talking about that I'm looking for, was, a "1-Click/1-Touch Root Method" that I had came across a while back. Unfortunately any of the links I click on for it, doesn't work anymore. That's why I am asking to see if anyone knows of anything similar. Or just an easier method of Rooting the Motorola Xoom Stingray Edition. Please Help!!!!

Here is how I rooted my xoom.

follow the directions here but instead of doing step 1 follow this for adb install http://www.support-4-you.com/main/i...ged-adb-installation&catid=40:how-tos&Itemid= it is a 1 click adb install then follow from step 2 on.

I used my own tool to root my Xoom, but it was the Linux version, this tutorial worked for almost everyone, try it
