[Q] Driver Installation?

Hello XDA,

I got my DInc yesterday,

Today, I put in the Droid Incredible by HTC VZAcess Manager Software Disk,

It said installing HTC Incredible drivers, and then proceeded to install VZAcess Manger.

I enabled USB debugging on my phone, I plugged it in and chose "Charge Only"

It keeps saying Found Driver Hardware and has the option to install, I choose it, and it says "Was not able to complete the driver install successfully"

I tried installing the hboot drivers by Unrevoked and I also got the same error.

My phone isn't even showing up in "My Computer"

I would really like to root my phone ASAP, thanks in advance!

first, if you are trying to root your phone, follow unrevoked's instructions to the letter.

I would uninstall the VZ crapware, and USB tethering software, and start over by using the guide with unrevoked.

One rooted with s off, you will never need htc or vzw software..
The new unrevoked forever is so nice compared to the earlier rooting prior to unlocked nand..
And your in luck.. unrevoked 3.2 was recently re released.
