[q] dropped phone won't charge

Hello there I had simple question. I dropped my phone last night and now when i plug it in the red charging light doesn't come on and the phone doesn't report that it's charging even with the cord in. Has this happend to anyone else and is there a fix?

Did you try switching off the phone then switching it back on? Switching the phone off, remove the battery, place the battery back then switching the phone back on? Just a suggestion
