I just saw some photos from the stock ebook reader that comes with the Samsung Galaxy tab, and it looks FANTASTIC. Very similar to iBooks, and better than Aldiko, and all the other ebook apps currently available on the market. Is it free? Can it be extracted from the Galaxy and installed in other android tablets? I currently own an Asus Transformer TF101 and would love to have this app!
Look in the gtab 10.1 section, they are there. If I had my laptop I would provide links.
You need the ebook.apk and the myfiles.apk for it to work. Currently the myfiles.apk I found is not signed. This means you have to be rooted and push it to system.
You can use just the ebook apk but the bookshelf will not appear. To load books you'll need to select them and choose ebook as the action. The import option will not work. They will then appear on your "shelf" which is a black background. You can still read the books, and once reading all the options are there.
I installed it on my son's transformer prime and it works as I described. He is not rooted and I have not tried manually signing the myfile.apk.
For those that can't see my sig (tapatalk etc) I own the gtab 10.1, and my son has the TP.
